New Delhi [India], June 9 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, who was part of the Group-2 delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, said on Monday that it is time to 'call out' Pakistan and hold it accountable for sponsoring terrorism, after the delegation returned from its visit to several European nations.
Chaturvedi emphasised that there should be zero tolerance against terrorism, and there should be a safe future for the coming generations.
Speaking to ANI, Chaturvedi said, 'Our message everywhere has been that we have fought for many decades, and India is capable of this. We are not going to demand anything, nor are we going to ask for any loan. We are going to inform them (Europe) that the battle we have fought will now come to their doorstep as well, considering how Pakistan provides training, indoctrinates individuals, promotes fundamentalism, and creates terror in their countries.'
'Everyone in Europe is aware of how attacks are happening. So we have kept our word to them that it is time to call it out, and it is time to hold Pakistan accountable; there should be zero tolerance against terrorism, and there should be a safe future for the coming generations,' she added.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Chaturvedi had said that the team had received a positive response from European nations regarding India's stance against terrorism.
Chaturvedi had told ANI about the trip, 'India and our delegation had received a very positive response. This showed that the world understood the fear of terrorism, and it was very important to stay united to address this issue... Everyone was united and unequivocal about the fact that terrorism in all its forms had to be condemned.'
She had added that the delegation had engaged in talks with government officials, ministers, think tanks, and media representatives across Europe, all of whom had expressed consistent support for India's long-standing fight against terrorism.
The all-party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad returned to India after a diplomatic tour of several European nations. The delegation arrived at the airport in the national capital following a multi-nation visit to strengthen India's ties with European partners.
Speaking to the media upon arrival, Prasad said, 'It feels great to be back in India. Our delegation visited France, Italy, Denmark, England, Brussels and Germany. We met senior leaders of the Parliament, think-tank and the Indian community. The foreign nations have a lot of anger over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, and all the nations have condemned this. We went to the European Parliament as well. The Indian community was very excited to meet us. A new relationship is going to be established between India and Europe. It was a very satisfying visit...'
The recent visit by the all-party Group-2 delegation, led by BJP MP Prasad, took place amid growing international concern over terror attacks, notably the Pahalgam incident in Jammu and Kashmir, which has drawn widespread condemnation from global partners. (ANI)
