New Delhi [India], July 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various Government departments and organisations on 12th July at the 16th Rozgar Mela around 11:00 AM via video conferencing, the Press Information Bureau informed. The PM will also address the appointees on the occasion.
Rozgar Mela is a step taken by the central government to fulfil the Prime Minister's commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Mela aims to play a significant role in providing meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in nation-building.
As per the information given by PIB, more than 10 lakh recruitment letters have been issued so far through the Rozgar Melas across the country, and the 16th Rozgar Mela will be held at 47 locations across the country.
The recruitments are taking place across Central Government Ministries and Departments. The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, the Ministry of Labour & Employment, among other departments and ministries.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to New Delhi on Thursday morning after concluding his five-nation tour that spanned from July 2 to 9. The diplomatic journey covered Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, and included his participation in the 17th BRICS Summit held in Rio de Janeiro under Brazil's chairmanship.
In the first leg of his visit, PM Modi arrived in Ghana's capital city of Accra on July 2. This marked the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the West African nation in over 30 years. During his visit, PM Modi held bilateral talks with the President of Ghana, John Mahama, to review the strong partnership and discuss further avenues to enhance it through economic, energy, and defence collaboration and development cooperation.
On July 3, PM Modi travelled to Trinidad & Tobago, marking his first official visit to the Caribbean nation as Prime Minister and the first such visit at the PM-level since 1999. He met with his counterpart, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and addressed the country's Parliament. (ANI)
